If she gets in it will mean that the Supreme Court will reflect the Country in that it will cover the political specturm from the Far Right to the Middle.

There is no Far Left in politicas any more.

“The Country hasn’t skewed to the Right. You’re just a leftist.”

Hmm, really? Because from where I stand, the American political “left” is to the right of a lot of right-wing parties elsewhere. Let me just think about what happened when it was in power.

The last Democratic president had lower income tax rates than anyone between WWII and 1980s, Democrat or Republican. He ok’d further deregulation of the financial markets, and reformed social security towards much higher insistence on working. Let me remind you, that was a “reform” on the state of a system that had been presided over by 12 years of Republican administrations. A system that was one of the biggest signs of the New Deal, and the impact of left-wing policies in America. And it’s not like Clinton reneged on his base - he practically ran on a program to reform welfare.

The current Democratic president’s idea of a financial stimulus includes tax cuts costing about as much as the federal investments - that’s what his idea of financial help package was. He escalated the war in Afghanistan, ok’d offshore drilling (though after the debacle at the Gulf, he might “qualify” that position. That’s the guy who people worry would turn the US into a communist state.

These are the presidents of the supposed “left-wing” party. Now, I’m not necessarily blaming them; some of these ideas can be good. Yet classical left-wing policy they are not.

Relax! Churchie MUST BE RIGHT! Now; when NASCAR makes the racers run clockwise instead of counter-clockwise, it will prove the shift because the drivers will only be turning right, instead of left! So, NASCAR remains the liberal homeland of America!

the GOP blocked over 100 of Clinton’s nominees and when Bush was (gag) President, they were all in a rush to fill all those empty seats… when Bush was (gag again) President, how many 100’s did the Democrats block?

Again, it goes back to politicians who can’t think for themselves; only what their party goes for and that’s it.
