Phil your just coming into the scene kids have a way of pushing the envelope. If you had the kids in the beginning then you would have better understanding.

So far comments are light. Some must be on vacation must be nice.

He’s a cop; this can’t POSSIBLY be the worst he’s ever dealt with.

The next time that he knows they’ll be babysitting those two, I’m sure Phil will find some homicide that he needs to investigate.

Speaking of Max, how little it can take to entertain a child! I once went to visit my aunt and uncle (to stay in their house) and I was wondering how I would entertain his small children. I didn’t have to worry. They were all fascinated with snapping and unsnapping the catches on my luggage. When I saw that, I realized that I was out of synch with them, resynchronized myself, and a good time was had by all!

For Max, I am referring to Alix just sticking out her tongue at him, and he is delighted.

whereas all Luci has done is lost her pacifier, and she is devastated.

@mblase75, a few days ago when Val invited Phil over, he mentioned (to himself only) that he might prefer doing a double shift during a prison riot. The point these strips are making is that people think looking after children is so HARD, so EXHAUSTING. so UNDESIRABLE. But they don’t mention the rewards. Perhaps if Luci gave Phil a big smile, he might rethink? you think?

What would Phil be saying if he knew Joan and Wally were next door asleep?

Many of us came back here late today when the strips had no update this morning- it’s my bedtime now (time to watch 2 “Bewitched” while preparing for bed ;-)
