If a cricket or moth gets into my house it doesn’t stand a chance. I have two cats. They are cricket haters and act as dual antiaircraft batteries for moths, katydids and any other flying bug.

Any bug that comes into King Bentley’s domain is doomed. He and his 3 sisters are (bird, bug, rodent, snake) blood thirsty killers. It’s never pretty.

Tiny little Mama Taffy was being let inside one warm summer evening. As she ran in the front door, a moth, about the size of her head flew past her face. Not missing a beat she inhaled the large flapping creature and began eating it as she ran inside. The wings stuck out about 2 inches from either side of her face and made a curious crunching sound as she chewed it up, like she had gotten into the potato chips. It was quite a sight to see.

Say the word “BUG” and all the pets are looking around for it.

My owner brought a stray cat home and my owner’s wife wasn’t happy about it because they already had two cats. But when the new cat attacked and ate a cockroach (one of those big two-inch ones) his wife suddenly changed her mind about the new cat and he lived with us for a long time.

yeah Lupin! When I lived on the Prairies and grasshoppers got in, my 4 would end up drowning them in one of their water bowls after somehow remove most of the legs – not nice – they were the only bugs they wouldn’t eat

Since Lupin is deaf, I always wondered how he heard the other cats reporting in. Now we know that the whole show is scripted.

Ah. I didn’t know Lupin is deaf. Makes sense, since he’s a white cat. Yay, Lupin, the mighty hunter!

Leave it to the deaf cat to use his sense of feel. While all the others are being driven crazy by their sense of hearing. Go Lupin. It’s the first time I’ve seen Elvis smile.

flies and moths in mid-air, nothing is safe from our cat! Except bees. He knocks them down but won’t eat them.

Cats have incredible senses. Several years ago, my cat, Queen Margot, was sitting motionless, staring up at the ceiling. I investigated and found a bat hanging fri\om a corner of the ceiling. I took a leather glove and removed it from the house. It was the only bat that ever got in- knock on wood. I would never have spotted it is she hadn’t been staring so intently.

One of my cats, Ruff, loved catching and eating Crane Flies (AKA Daddy-Long-Legs). I saw her once jump in the air turning a back somersault to catch a Crane Fly between her front paws. She landed and ate it there and then :-).Great cartoon strip today :-)

So THAT’S how anchor Lupin “hears” from the reporters in the field! A teleprompter that also delivers closed captions!.I’d been wondering about that. I didn’t think the other guys were signing because, y’know, that requires thumbs. Also, I’m pretty sure if you tried to sign with claws, you’d always be accidentally scratching yourself while you talk. Though perhaps signing cats would have enough grace to avoid that..@TerrBear319 – It’s blue-eyed white cats that tend to be deaf. Lupin’s deafness came from kittenhood illness.

Woe betide any flies in our windows, at least when we had cats. They were on them like grease on a pig.

This is hysterical! I love it when Elvis’ fur goes FOOMP. And the teleprompter lying? Too funny!. Am I the only one who Tommy reminds of Chunk in The Goonies? Love these guys!

    …they’ve got a teleprompter?

This then begs the question of how they got their paws on it…

Lupin can also read whiskers, so long as they are wiggling in English.

So lupin is deaf, that’s why he needed the teleprompter. That’s also why he could feel the cricket rattling around in the cupboard
