My folks had a wood stove when I was growing up, and I well remember many trips with my wagon, taking a new delivery of firewood around back and stacking it, as well as bringing more inside to fill up the woodbox several times a week. Then, when I was older, taking over from my dad and doing the chopping and splitting of the firewood to fit the stove.I know times (and the environment) change, but there’s just something comforting about a wood fire.
