I do love the “like giving candy to a baby” quip. Good job, Tom. Allowing companies and industries to pay for our politicians’ campaigns is such an astoundingly bad deal. We save tens of thousands of dollars, and it ends up costing us tens of billions. Under what logic is paying a legislator protected speech, while paying a judge or a cop is illegal bribery?

Excellent point. The difference is the legislators pass the laws that say you can bribe them. Judges and police, not so much.
