Just a note: my grandfather didn’t look “Cherokee” for the very reason that at the time of Jackson kicking them off their land, most Cherokee were Christian, educated, and centuries of intermarriage resulted in few just “looking” like native Americans. The image of western tribes like Apache, Sioux, or Navajo being the “model” for what native folks look like is a misnomer, especially with some of the very eastern tribes long associated with white migration from Europe.
That the Republican candidate field look like idiots is a result of their statements, not their physical appearance.
