Ernesto: Aren't you concerned that its proximity to the Art Room means the water is tainted with poster paints, white glue and papier-mâché runoff? Such things cause mutations. Ernesto: Of course, I drink only water bottled for me by the monks at Machu Picchu. See? There's my picture on the label! Petey: Oops- I just remembered I never drink water!

But aren’t mutations cool? I work in a radioactive lab. I am really hoping that spontaneously growing new body parts will offset the fact that I probably shouldn’t reproduce.

When I was a kid, we made our papier-mache with wheat flour. Good source of carbohydrates, and nowadays they probably use whole-grain goodness. White glue is made from boiling cow hides, so there’s probably some protein there. As for the poster paints, it depends… If they’re tempera paints, you’re talking eggs. More protein, but keep an eye on your cholesterol.
I mean, Dill ingests glue sticks nasally, and he’s not… OK, bad example.

Depending on the colors used, poster paints are probably a good source for trace minerals.
