Thanks goodness for those that stand on the wall and do what the rest of us needs to have done to allow people like SizeofaPea to have the right to disagree with how they were saved.
If torture provided reliable info and intel, it could be considered justified. It does not. Never has. Never will. And that’s all that matters; doesn’t matter left, right, or in-between.
Torture is primarily meant to make the torturers exact revenge, even if the tortured were not the perpetrators. That is the only “positive”.
The whole concept that torture helps prevent bad people from doing bad things is absolutely untrue, and those who do interrogations for a living will all tell you the same thing.
Active, viable intelligence was ignored, and 9/11/01 happened. Ali Soufon at the FBI was getting viable intelligence information from Abu Zabadaya uising proven techniques not involving torture, until the CIA stepped in with torture, and he totally clammed up. The plotter they trot out every time gave them nothing but old, useless, information once they switched to waterboarding him, the “sheik” just chuckled.
The people who jumped to their deaths were escaping from what they saw as torture and the pain of death by fire, even if it would be brief, not lasting endlessly, with no hope of ever being released, or even charged with “offense”. They had the choice of how to die, rather than be tortured. Yes, that was cruel and pointless.
We all know that torture is about revenge. Not getting information. But the sad thing is I think most of the people who died on 9/11 would be outraged by the things that have been done in their name.
St. Ronnie Reagan signed the Convention Against Torture in 1988. “Ratification of the Convention by the United States,” Reagan wrote, “will clearly express United States opposition to torture, an abhorrent practice unfortunately prevalent in the world today.”Shame on you torture supporters… you show just how far this country has fallen.
The hypocrisy & the belief that you are ALWAYS correct from the left is amazing! Get over yourself! The only moral bankruptcy is from the left & the libatards!

he is talking about ISIS not 24. But “TV is not real life” is an odd comment from some who watches the lame stream media to get all your “Facts”.

There are those in the media that are very dedicated to get an emotional story. Some of them are dead because of it. Their priorities are misplaced.

None of the above commitments were typed by people trapped in the burning, collapsing World Trade Center. They all came 13 years later.
