Electronic Book Reader: It's over, book.... You're an inferior technology.
Electronic Book Reader: Your big, clunky format is irrelevant.
Electronic Book Reader: Just a nip of this flame and you'd be gone forever!

Book doesn’t need batteries, its memory doesn’t erase, it’s not hostage to DRM rights, and it doesn’t shatter when you drop it. You own Book, not lease it. When you finish Book, you can use it to fix a wobbly table and get another Book for a few dollars.
Both have their advantages; however, there is something about having real live pages to turn that a tabled or reader just can’t replace. On the other hand, if I were going on a trip, I might just take the tablet because I can pre-download several books and the tablet is lighter than the books.
I don’t think books are “inferior technology” like phone does. Books are actually scientifically shown to be better for reading than phones, kindles, etc. Also, you can’t make cool designs in the pages of a book on a phone :)

Books forever! My childhood isn’t filled with hours of me scrolling a finger over a screen.

I prefer to read paper books over reading on a device. Something about the texture of the pages…
