    Book doesn’t need batteries, its memory doesn’t erase, it’s not hostage to DRM rights, and it doesn’t shatter when you drop it. You own Book, not lease it. When you finish Book, you can use it to fix a wobbly table and get another Book for a few dollars.

    Both have their advantages; however, there is something about having real live pages to turn that a tabled or reader just can’t replace. On the other hand, if I were going on a trip, I might just take the tablet because I can pre-download several books and the tablet is lighter than the books.

    I don’t think books are “inferior technology” like phone does. Books are actually scientifically shown to be better for reading than phones, kindles, etc. Also, you can’t make cool designs in the pages of a book on a phone :)

    I prefer to read paper books over reading on a device. Something about the texture of the pages…
