Considering that the Russians wont sell oil to the Europeans, the Europeans will be happy to by Canadian oil, so will the Japanese and Chinese. The difference is that they will not be buying from the US. Saying that the pipeline will only create 50 jobs is naive, the existing refineries will not be able to handle the work, new ones needs to built and for that workers are needed. So is the need to sell and promote. The Democrats are in a slash and burn mode, and the only ones to be hurt are the working class.

Sooo…the Keystone Pipeline won’t provide as many jobs as environmental liberals want(supposedly) and it’s a lot of trouble, so we should just cancel it? If you accept that argument, you could avoid a great many things in life, such a getting out of bed, showering, leaving the house, going to work…

1,400 temp jobs, and 35 permanent, so the product can be EXPORTED, and the WASTE PRODUCT, stays to contaminate OUR country.

We had the Ruby gas pipeline come through our neighborhood, and the same jobs lies came with it. We had 800 temporary jobs in our area, and today that job count is ZERO! Now, they’re doing what they planned from the start, to build the additionally planned pipeline to the coast to liquify that “critical to America” Wyoming natural gas, and SHIP IT TO CHINA! That was the actual, but secret, plan from the very beginning! (Yes, I saw the documents that were disguised in the EA and review process. AND, had confirmation from the guy from El Paso Natural Gas (a Dick Cheney company).

The REAL impact isn’t along the route of the pipeline, but at both ends of it.

The CEO of trans-Canada said there will be 50 permanent jobs. The Government will steal Americans land to benefit no one but the oil companies. This is by the way unconstitutional. I say let Canada build the pipeline east or west through Canada. We already have 10 million barrels of oil pooled in the gulf of Mexico. We were told that there would be one spill in 7 years for the first leg through Canada. Actually there were 12 spills the first year. They plan to use the same cheap steel from India for the remainder. It’s just another rush to destroy the only planet we have to satisfy the greed of the already greedy oil companies. I wonder how the RWNJ would like the government stealing there land to to build the pipeline and that doesn’t include the land that will be lost to the spills of this toxic mixture. You want jobs in America. Put tariffs on the products that rich corporations are building with foreign slave labor all over the world. Free trade is great for these greedy folks. For the poor jobless Americans, not so much.
