TROUT – Unfortunately a FACT is something that most humans prefer to ignore.

To strongly believe in something does not make it a fact. A fact must be examined and tested.

trout, RV, Ken?? What strip are you looking at?? Ken - the answer is that your brain is a fact. It definitely needs to be examined, and most humans prefer to ignore it.

The brain is the most important part of the body – But then we only have the brain’s word for that.

Back to the cartoon – I am finding that many students now entering university simply don’t read. They didn’t grow up reading, they don’t see the point of reading, they refuse to read the assignments. I’m all in favor of new technologies, and I love the resources now easily available on the web, for example, but the written word – and written on pages – can still do things the new technology has not yet been able to do.
