Maybe if we starting hitting ISIS months ago(as people who have a clue about foreign policy were asking for), we wouldn’t be in this mess.So was Barry golfing or fundraising?
The way we got into the first two wars was by supporting one faction over another. We need a policy that supports a free democratic government and minimizes the corruption of the people in charge. You can’t do a deal with the devil without getting burned. We need a careful, selective response not another trillion dollar war.
Selective and targeted air strikes make sense. What didn’t make sense was Bush and Cheney et al laying the groundwork to incite dozens of groups like “I.S.”, ISIS, ISIL, or whatever they are today, by fraudulently invading Iraq and killing tens of thousands of innocent bystanders in the FIRST PLACE!!
Extreme radical groups like ISIS aren’t any more “Muslim”, or “Christian”, or “Jewish” than the KLAN, ETSEL, and other religious psychotics over the centuries, like the Inquisition, Crusades, and other fanatic-driven purges. Stalin merely claimed Communism, which he also didn’t really subscribe to at all, for his progroms and atrocities against his countrymen to support his military dictatorship, just like Hitler. (Interesting that Hitler wanted to kill all the Communists, and Stalin was out to kill all the Nazi, and both were mostly homicidal maniacs, like Joshua.)
Ardvarck said, about 7 hours ago@ConserveGovA clue about foreign policy? Obviously you don’t. Congress has to make that decision and they have 48 more days to do the “constitutional” thing"?——————————————————————Umm, you do know that 0 has finally started bombing them(months too late) and he didn’t get, or need, Congressional approval right?
