    Ferguson Missouri was about 75% white in 1990 and is now about 28% white. That might be part of the reason “why”? So, just because one demographic aggressively moves into a particular area, everyone present is supposed to just as aggressively make sure that the services in the community look just like that group?

    Goodness, after some 24 years (1990-2014) reflects a degressive accommodation to the changing demographics. Danziger is spot on with his commentary.

    Maybe it’s because the black community has a huge disconnect with the police force; sign-ups with law enforcement is seen as “switching sides” (Uncle Tom-ism), and their own brothers and families often look down on them for it. Sad, but true….and the percentages are not dissimilar in other towns/cities of roughly the same size.
