As long as BozOTUS can make his own rules as he goes

Care to give an example of “his own rules?” If you’re referring to reconciliation, the Reps practiced that rule much more often than the Dems. 22 times for both parties, 2/3 of them by GOP. (source: Fox news)

Myth: Obama and the democrats just cut Medicare payments in half.

Medicare cuts were mandated by prior legislation that created a complex and controversial formulae for reimbursements almost a decade ago. Most years, Congress passes legislation forestalling cuts created by the formulae. The House passed a bill stopping the cuts, due to begin March 1, the Senate did not pass it because one Rep senator held up a vote and with the ridiculous rules of Senate, no vote could be taken.

Thus, it was the good old GOP that caused the 21 percent cut that went into effect today.

Here’s some background on the issue: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/714084

Unless the Democrats have 60 votes to end the Republican filibusters, they can’t stop, so no, you can’t blame the Democrats for the GOP senators deciding not to pass the bill.

And by the way, obama didn’t invent any rules. The reconciliation process was “invented” years ago and the Republicans have used it much more than the Dems, and no, they didn’t use it on budget bills. They used it sweeping comprehensive bills that didn’t already receive 60 votes earlier, as this one has.

I don’t know RV. Maybe this public option will lead to single payer. At least I’m hopeful it will.

“Go to Cuba if you want single payer”

Or enroll in the army (VA), or survive long enough to get Medicare, or go to most other developed countries. Seriously, man…

Number 1 welfare recipients= Corporations and “lending” institutions.

Number 2 welfare recipients= “Farmers and ranchers” especially those corporate mega-farms and ranches- raising corn for fuel, fat-bulking sweeteners, and stock feed: then raising, pigs/chickens/beef in muck pits that threaten the environment and health of the neighbors.

Yes, we folks have to eat, but it can be done better, and WITHOUT TAXPAYER SUPPORT.

Those chutes are used to keep the flow of tax dollars to the above recipients.

(hmm also found out that if you use the”#” sign at start of sentence it really does weird things to the typeface!)

And if you don’t like the above ‘socialist’ aspects of your Government, try the ‘free market’ Fire Department, Police Department and Highway Department. You won’t like it.

You: “My house is on fire!” FD: “What’s your policy number?” You: “My policy’s in the house, burning up!” FD: “Sorry, we can’t help you without a current policy.” (click.)
