Funny, though there is some confusion on who first invented the Chia Pet. The one we are all familiar with is marketed and was first made famous by Joseph Pedott also famous for “Clap-On, Clap-Off, The Clapper!” Joseph first discovered the item at a housewares show in Chicago in 1977.
