I believe the joke is that a robin stole something from Bucky (the “pilferer” remark) , and the fact that robins are common is actually going to be a problem.
I guess the repeated strip with the contest won’t get ended. That kind of sucks though. I wanted to see Fungo earn his day with Bucky!
