Book or booking is what the police do to you when you’ve done something bad……..they keep your picture forever along with your fingerprints………… not to be confused with bookie, a guy who takes your money if you’re not careful……

It can also mean to buy a ticket, usually on a ship, “book passage”.

When I was in grade school, I always raised my hand to get our textbooks. I loved the smell of new textbooks. While others smell drugs, I love new book smell.
