Holly: Do you think you can keep her in the style to which she is ACCUSTOMED?
Arnold: Living in the upstairs of your house, sharing a bathroom and all the family dramas?

Way To Go, Arnold! But, what about the accommodations in the various places you’ll go together in different parts in the world?! ;)

Ok, so a private bath, and a lack of family drama, but does he do the dishes?

Time for Holly to call “unc—” I mean, “Grandpa!”

Maybe “Grandpa” would work – they’d have an ally in the house.

At the time family dramas may make you pull your hair, but it’s those dramas that make you laugh and miss later. Comics about family life is proof of that.

There are a few things I’ve never understood about the living arrangements.1) Do people actually building two story houses and only put one bathroom in them? Everyone in the house (including when Joan and Max lived there) uses the same bathroom. 2) What happened to Joan’s room? Every once in a while Holly will complain about having to share a room with Alex and Mom will basically say there’s no choice, there’s not another room. Did Joan’s room move with her?

There’s a house behind our daughter’s that is two story with just one sorry bathroom with an old narrow shower with a skundgy-looking curtain, or it was that way last time I saw it. Maybe the new owner has added something.

MANY years ago my mother who was 1 of 13 kids, lived in a 1-bath (but large) house. Today we are just spoiled! It’s 2 (at least) or nothing!

Thanks everyone for answering my question about older houses and bathrooms.:-)

Joan and Max each had a room. I don’t know why the girls continue to share.
