Leftists affirm that conservatives are lunatics who want more freedom. Conservatives affirm that leftists are nazis who are determined to control everyone else.
I’ve heard that if you want to know anything about a Republican, just ask a Democrat… and vice-versa. Seems to be true skimming through these comments, anyone remember to bring a pooper-scooper?
Oh, for a second, I though the image of an African-American character being chased by a thuggish police officer was finally Scott commenting on Ferguson Mo. But no, the the same old 25-year old tripe about “PC Police.”
Speaking of PC Police, how about those PC nuts in Florida making it illegal to ask patients if they have guns in the home? And those loony liberals in North Carolina who want to make it a crime to disclose the chemicals that are used in fracking? You know, the chemicals going into your drinking water. Not to mention “Freedom to Farm” and “Veggie Libel” laws?
The revisionist idea that the Nazis were “leftist” is uniquely absurd, and also, sadly, uniquely American, because America is the only place where enough people are ignorant enough to parrot that line.
Soviet Communists were authoritarian leftists. Nazis and Fascists were authoritarian rightists. The two ideologies were deadly enemies because they had completely different visions for how economies should be run, and the conflict between them is one of the most important aspects of 20th century history. People who go around calling Nazis “leftists” are demonstrating nothing but their ignorance of this.
