I remember Claudine, I used to buy records from her company.

Just when I think that I’m getting old, a cultural reference like this goes over my head and I feel OK again.

OK, I’m old enough but had totally forgotten her. I think the death of “Spider” was the only time I heard of her. It IS a funny touch- thanks Pab!

Aside from her unfortunate association with the Surrogate Osmond Funny Uncle, Claudine Longet was brilliant as a recurring love interest in the great Ben Gazarra series Run for Your Life.

I’m amazed and pleased at the number of folks who get the reference! I’m always explaining who John Wayne is to my teenaged patients…..
