Too many folks use the “then-every-one-will-be-stoned-all-the-time” argument.

First, work place drug testing has absolutely nothing to do with being stoned on the job – in fact, if you smoke pot for the first time in a month and take a test while stoned you will not be positive… the next day you will…

Second, the folks who might go to work stoned are currently going to work drunk- preferably, everyone goes to work sober but if push came to shove, I’d rather deal with someone stoned that drunk.

Third, the people who are convinced legal pot will lead to widespread continual intoxication do so, perhaps, because they themselves are currently continually intoxicated on their favorite legal intoxicant

Fourth, it is the MOST benign intoxicant on the planet.

Fifth, RV has a point. Marijuana laws have done more damage to more lives than legal use of the drug ever could.

Good Lord, I felt like I had to go out of my way to comment on this…my paper just printed it today, for God know why.

Britt, you talentless fraud. I can only assume you’re staying in the cartoon industry by someone’s pity or by underhanded dealings. It certainly isn’t by your drawing skill or your clever wit, you hack.

This is just another egregious example of any ‘toon of yours that my paper prints that resorts to childish “humor,” straw man arguments—wait, these are no arguments at all. I don’t even know what to call these, they’re just moronic send-ups of something you don’t like that you provide no reason for me to agree with you.

This isn’t even a pot thing. I’m not writing this to defend recreational marijuana. I don’t want that either. But why should I agree with you based on this travesty of a scribble? What’s the point?
