Gridlock is our only hope of slowing down the over sized government’s growth. The voters keep sending the mostly the same garbage back to Congress every election.
People mostly like their own congresscritter, which is why they were voted in in the first place, and we aren’t allowed to vote against any other district’s crook/incompetent/nutjob. Add a little geryymandering to keep the congresscritter in a “safe” district, and the inertia increases.
