I guess I don’t understand Alix’s statement in the last panel. I’m not too sure what Evie said to her even registered… ;)

ORMouseworks, elephantitis is a disease that causes parts of a person’s body to swell to gigantic proportions (it’s horrible really) which Alix apparently is under the impression comes from actual elephants.

Alix hasn’t registered…or she is subconsciously avoiding registering the import of Evie’s words!

The first panel is so sweet. And Holly is already suspicious in the first panel. And in the second panel she’s rolling her eyes at Alix only to be taken aback by Gramma’s announcement. xD

Hey, I don’t comment on strips much but I just wanted to say hi Jan! I’ve really been enjoying the strip. :)

To those picking on Alix, back off. She’s a kid. At that age, she heard her grandma. She may not completely understood what she said, but she did hear her.

I’m thinking Alix is of the age where it doesn’t matter if Gramma is married or not, she’s still the same person. And she’s HOME! Now a gramma with elephantiasis would be something to get excited about…

The last time I had swollen ankles was when I was pregnant. Hmmm…

So far Alix has notice Grandma’s legs not yet the ring or announcement of being married. Now have to wait for the mom to wake up.
