In 4 frames Matt exposes the ‘christian’ hypocrisy brilliantly. Brilliant work Mr. Bors.

Yeah, I spent every summer going to church school, every sunday at church, and forty years in the desert with Moses, and frankly, while I remember all that stuff, “christians” don’t seem to have absorbed it much. I am now atheist, mostly because of the example “Christians” have set, while loudly proclaiming their faith.

Despite your ultra-left views, I tend to like your toons Bors, but this is just stupid.

Christians actually believe in the rule of law.If you want to come here, do it the honest way.

The law allowing children to enter the US and not be returned was established under your previous president Harelyquinn. But why not reflexively hate your current president? It’s easier.

@Cinci Steve, If Christians are law-abiding, how do you explain the cars speeding down our street when the local church empties out on Sunday morning?

No need to write anything down, Mr. Jesus. The Right people will know intuitively what you mean. Meant, sorry.

There’s a really simple solution that no one seems to consider: allow Texas to secede from the union. Then it will be their problem, with no federal money to do anything about it.

Problem solved: illegal immigrants coming into the US significantly reduced, gobs of federal money saved because we don’t have to support the state. Win-win.

" He was fulfilling the law and trying to get them to understand it is the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law that often matters most. (imho)"

Interesting. This means that almost every attorney, whose job it is to find means within the letter of the law to disembowel the spirit of the law, is going against the teachings of Jesus. And I’ll bet most of them consider themselves good Christians. Pause to ponder….

It isn’t “Christian” to force generosity on others, whether it’s the Dem’s forcing us (clearly for the future benefit of more Dem voters), or the parents back in their homeland forcing their kids on us.Does anybody find it interesting that the left never brings up the the idea of helping CUBAN refugees? And what do you know, the Cubans that have moved here, a lot of them vote Republican! If this was all for humanitarian reasons, the left would long ago have begun to campaign against Castro’s prohibition on leaving Cuba.

My solution will save the taxpaying citizens of America a ton of money! Simply dissolve the Border Patrol and ICE since their mission is purely racist and make them find meaningful work like burning down every Christian edifice in America. Then we’ll re-educate the Christians in atheism,Islam or any other belief system not Christian. You see Christians hate women, gays, blacks, browns, etc….and are what is wrong with America. The truth is,we’re all here just killing time waiting to die and become worm food. There is no meaning to any of this so screw it !!!!

I guess Bors’s cartoon hit home.

Joadtom lashes out: “Love to see Bors use Mohamed to illustrate how Muslims are mis-using their faith…. But no one has the guts to do that.”

“You really make very little sense when you just wildly attack and lash out.”

Basic Republican Christianity. That, plus seething hatred of Obama. If you don’t hate Obama, you hate America.

Is there a reason why you are babbling religious fairy-tales, unevidenced in any way, in public? Do you not have anything else to do? And why ever would you think we’d follow your religion, instead of any of the 10,000 or so others there are to choose from?

Here’s your answer:I’m shocked. With your constant right-wing bluster and religious babbling, I was sure you were a fundamentalist protestant. Now, I’m of the opinion that there was almost certainly no historical Jesus, but I’ll answer your question as if he did, and as if the New Testament were a historical record of what he said (which, of course, it was not, having been written about two generations after the time Jesus would have lived, had he existed).Luke 14.33: “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” No comment needed. Or, are you actually following this great teaching, the foundation of cults everywhere?Luke 19.27: “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” The genocidal Old Testament god, reincarnated as the genocidal New Testament god. This, of course, is also one of the foundational verses of anti-semitism.Mark 9.47-48: “And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” The supreme sadist running the eternal torture chamber? Maybe not. And, remember, this infinite punishment is for a finite “sin”, which is unjust in any reasonable system of ethics. However, if you’ve really read the bible, you know that god is not big on the practicing any sort of decent morality. More like a dude with an uncontrollable bipolar disorder and anger management issues. There are lots of verses where Jesus teaches the existence of hell. Do you really believe that?Luke 12.51-53: “Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.” This is how every goddamned religion supports its own continued existence: Us against them. The effects of this teaching on families and society are horrific. There are many other verses along these same lines, too, such as Matthew 12.30: “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”These are just off the top of my head; you can easily find many more here or here.I await your answer. If it’s “You’ve misinterpreted all these verses; here, let me tell you what they really mean” I will not reply, as anyone can see what these verses really mean, and I have no reason to believe that your interpretation is the correct one.

Let me shorten your reply a bit: “Everything Jesus says is perfect. I don’t do any of it. But I believe in him.”OK, I’ll give you points for honesty, at least. But still the question arises, why choose this particular pre-scientific book out of all the others that were available back then? Why not see the world as it really is?
