Hey, I am all for somebody in Washington doing something. We are paying them but getting nothing but grief in return. The House of Representatives is an outright joke. I may never vote Republican again.
I’m assuming he’s talking about Harry Reid & the other libertards in the Senate that refuse to even debate any bill that the House passes or to even compromise with the Republicans. That way they can keep their narrative of the “obstructionist Republicans” and “the party of no” for the simple minded.
Boehner is refusing to bring bills to a vote which have enough votes to pass. Contrast with the Senate, where Reid is refusing to truckle with grandstanding symbolic moves that have no chance.
No matter which side “wins” the White House, or controls the House and Senate, the concept of compromise is not a part of the Republican Election Handbook. The Repubs have only one agenda: protect and advance the interests of the super-wealthy.On this one point, all Republicans are in agreement.
I thought Barry already said multiple times that “The border is now secure”?Seriously, with that extra 2 BILLION Dollars 0 is asking for, I’m sure we could build a secure fence along our border like most other countries have.But 0 and the Dems really don’t want to stop the flow of voters. Oops, I mean poor, uneducated illegal aliens.
Simply put, it is BOEHNER who’s refusing to act on his side for an immigration reform bill, not Harry, or even Republicans in the Senate.
Reading many bills coming out of House committees forwarded to the REPUBLICAN controlled House, they’re about DEREGULATION, and are NOT “jobs bills”. Other bills are intended to sell out the people of the U.S. in favor of corporate profits and it’s a good thing Harry doesn’t act on them. I find Reid a weak leader, a corporate pocket guy himself, mining and Nevada interests, but he does have more interest in helping the nation’s PEOPLE, more than “corporate persons”, the Republican base, middle, and summit of all mountains of bullpucky they’re stacking.
Not a single one of the GOP “jobs bills” has any jobs in it (as scored by an independent group). Not a single bill passed in both houses has been sent to conference, because the GOP will not compromise.

Our country, our society functioned BEST under a system of REGULATED Capitalism, which sought to prevent any special interest group from running away with it all. Since 1981, deregulation has been the one constant “action” by the Republican party. For some reason, Clinton did it too.I was, and still hope that Janet Yellen, as new Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, might use her influence to re-instate most, if not all of the regulations which were enacted during the 1930’s to guard against another such Great Depression from occuring. I still read in the Wall Street Journal, and other publications, that the partiers and traders on Wall Street are still taking high risks with other peoples money, are not as solvent as many should be, and obscene bonuses all around. There are predictions of another possible crash in the near future.
Until we boot out ALL the wealthy Republican lackeys, and restore regulation, things will only worsen for most of us.
