Unfortunately, there is no age limit.

@A Common ‘taterIn Finland, the driver’s license is valid until the driver turns 70 yrs. After that it’s still possible to drive, provided one passes the required medical examinations. Until the doctor tells you otherwise, you can drive.

In the U.S. we’d overthrow the government if they passed that law.

No, sorry. NASCAR vehicles don’t have turn signals. The only ones on the track with ANY kind of signals are the pace care and crash trucks and ambulances. The race cares have ‘pasties’ that look like head lights and signal lights.

MANY years ago I read of how the Calif. motor vehicle system rejected a woman’s driver’s license renewal because the computer thought she was 4. In fact, she was 104, a retired librarian who continued working beyond retirement, driving every day in the electric buggy donated by admirers. Since she drove it on the street she needed a valid license.

As for the Brit. limit of 70, I sure won’t be moving there anytime soon.

There is no national standard. Driving is regulated at the state level. As far as I know, most states have no mandatory age limit on driving. As others mentioned, a few states do require you to retake the actual driving test to renew your license beyond some age, probably starting around 70. Don’t know if any states have some sort of automatic exclusion for certain medical conditions but they might. Here in Texas, it is every man, woman, and child for themselves.

Some times it’s the young farts driving with turn signals on, if they ever use them at all.
