I don’t know if Victoria could have resisted growing cries to end the war.Maybe, she wouldn’t have made the mistakes George III did that lead to the break with the colonies.
You have to remember, too, that poor old George may have been suffering, even then, from the illness that later afflicted him. Maybe if a healthy monarch had been in charge, things would have gone differently. Ya never know with history.
