When I was 7 or 8 I was doing flips in the living room and kicked over a bust on a pedestal of my grandmother’s. My father, my aunt and her boyfriend sprang into action with crazy glue and put it back together and in place before my grandmother got home. Years later she told me that, even though she never said a word about it, she’d always known.
