You’re not kidding: When I was in elementary school — a long time ago — the gym teacher took a Magic Marker®, drew a few small Xs on a white dish towel, and offered it for sale for $100. Now, this was when $100 was a lot of money (I told you it was a long time ago!). I don’t know, though, if it ever sold.
