Treggie (sp) might want them to make a skirt out of them or they can be used to dye easter eggs. Recycling ties…lots of different things to do with them
Also consider places like the Salvation Army, Goodwill or Union Mission. They try and get work for people. The better dressed the person, the more likely to land a job.

Find a quilting club. Old ties make awesome designs on quilts!
@Monkeyhead; I really like the idea of a Greco-Roman style skirt made from ties!

At an AARP meeting a lady wore an outfit made from ties, a skirt and a jacket. It was quite nice
