That was 30 years ago, involved 3 million illegals(not 12-20 million) and was during a very good Reagan economy as opposed to today’s horrible Obamanomics.Dems just want more poor, uneducated people to vote for them and could care less about the average working American.

Reagan unfortunately trusted the enforcement component that was part of that bill. Something he later regretted.

it is always strange how people ‘twist’ history to make a sound bite (cartoon caption) for today’s sesame street mentalities – those who can’t concentrate or focus for more than 30 seconds at a time – “squirrel”!!! – where was I -

It seems to me he had something to say about the unfairness of billionaires paying taxes at lower rates than their secretaries.

Reagan tried immigration reform. It didn’t work then and the problem got much worse. No surprise so many want to ignore history and blindly screw everyone over to garner more votes for their party. Sickening.

Sorta, and the same thing the Republicans pushed under Bush.

One more time: If you want fewer illegals, prevent businesses from hiring them.

It is interesting that the tri corner hat crowd today, trace their “core beliefs” to those long ago illegal immigrants (they used guns, not green cards to squat here!), and fear nothing more than folks challenging them for those minimum wage jobs they themselves usually hold.
