Indications were, from the start, that Bergdahl did desert, just like “W” did from the Guard, but he still deserves his day in court to tell his side, and determine what charges would be proper and under the UCMJ.
That said, it was interesting that one of the former sergeants who served with Bergdahl is out of the Army now, and wears a beard like Bergdahl Senior, because after 9 years in the military he said he just didn’t feel like shaving anymore as was required in the Army. Boy, he too looked just like a Taliban super crazy with that beard! (sarcasm off)
John Deering (and everyone else): There are a number of far more serious problems which affect tens of millions, and all of us that deserve more of a focus/spotlight than beating over this dead-horse issue!
And zippy; yes I served, and my son did too, 13 years, a disability discharge, and some medals that can’t even say in the documents where he earned them. Not like “W”, who was indeed a deserter!!
