Would be an interesting interlude to do something similar to the Batman stories (pre- “New Look”), where Bruce & Dick were “hypnotized” to go back in time. Once the 10-or-so page adventure was over, that was it. It was fun & entertaining.

Tracy “meeting” Alley Oop, Prince Valiant, etc. (with no repercussions, as in a dream-state) might be fun! But, I’m sure Team has even better planned for us!

BTW the Philadelphia Experiment may refer also to parallel universes. Ever heard of the Man from Taured? A mysterious man arrived at a Tokio Airport with a passport from a country, “Taured” inexistent on our Universe. And what of the girls who drove in a canyon and found themselves in another reality? I myself have been “recognized” by a person I’ve never met before claiming to have met me in a town I’ve never been. Maybe there’something there!

Tracy is allergic to coppers? He’s in the wrong business then.Or is his wrist just turning green?

I’m hoping we’re on the verge of Dick and Diet’s Excellent Adventure!

My enthusiasm for this story jumped a few notches yesterday. I’m now to the point that I don’t want to go to bed before reading the lastest installment, just like I was with Mysta’s tale!Tracy’s missing wrist genie will surely come into play at some point. Hmmm….

I’m so stoked for this story! Mr. Curtis and Mr. Staton have got me seriously hooked. The only way it gets better now is for Mysta to get involved.

Ooooh, upgrades to the wrist-wizard and Dick is going to be beta-testing them. I wonder what they could be. Maybe they’ll have something to do with “Project Blue Image.”

The narrator a couple of days ago said, “Things are not going well with Smith’s new project.” If it’s going that badly, it may be dangerous to get involved with it. Diet, himself, is too enthusiastic to admit that everything is not going well.

    “Time Passages,” Al Stewart.

    “Time After Time,” Cyndi Lauper.

“Time And Tide,” Basia. Does anyone remember Basia?

    “Only Time,” Enya.

Uh-oh. Tracy will be without his Wrist Wizard for a day: that’s a virtual guarantee that he’s going to have serious need of it very soon! Maybe a brazen carjacking attempt to kidnap Daddy? Or maybe just to deliver a “message”?

“Time is on My Side” in a Time Out of Mind. Will Tracy have the time tomorrow to pick up the Wrist Wizard when today is yesterday? Only time will tell. So, let have the time of our lives finding out.

Let’s go further. “Days of futures Past”-Moody Blues.I thought of that yesterday, but at the time, everybody seemed to be only doing individual song titles. They (Moody Blues) also put out an extensive compilation set called “Time Traveller!”

This is getting exciting, so many clues being dropped! I see a wrist wizardless Dick Tracy in the past, meeting Mr. Am (who said Dick looked familiar)and writing a fan letter to Sparkle, knowing that Junior would see it. Thought the 40¢ postage due on that letter would help set the date it was sent from, but the postal rates for letters went from 8¢ to 10¢ in 1974, so I’ll just have to wait and see.

Actually, the album was titled “Days of Future Passed.” Different meaning, but I’ll bet two-thirds of the people who bought the record never noticed. Then again, the guy who did the cover art apparently didn’t notice that the album’s Big Hit was titled “Nights in White Satin.” No “K.” (If you don’t understand this, look carefully at the cover art…)

“There’s also Updates” ? that hurts to read. Syntax and such. “There’re also updates” Sorry to be a GN, but even when they’re glaringly obvious, it has to be said.

Loving the path the story is taking. :)

Good morning Dick Tracy and Annie fans. Copper allergy? What happened to nickel plating? It’s sometimes used to coat watch cases. It’s time to join Sherman and Mr. Peabody and the Way Back machine.

I’m surprised the wrist wizards don’t have stainless bodies and backs. I used to have a problem with irritation from watches with diecast bodies, which would pit and corrode from contact with sweat, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. When I got one with a stainless body and back (it’s actually a diving watch), no more problems.(And then the battery died, and I now use my phone to see what time it is).

The routine is on YouTube http://youtu.be/sKGtb1t9iVw

What’s interesting is to watch Jack Webb. He never breaks character, never even comes close to a smile until the final line. You can see Carson suppressing the urge to break into a laugh at a couple of spots, but Webb? Steady as a rock right to the end.

This would have been at the time that the remake of Dragnet was on NBC. That was the one that was heavily ridiculed. What a lot of people don’t know is just how ground-breaking Dragnet was when it first appeared on radio and TV. The show took on issues ranging from prostitution, through drugs to pornography featuring teenagers. One of their Christmas episodes was even pro-gun control in a limited way. And as with all shows of this vintage it’s interesting to see actors who became big names in unexpected roles. Leonard Nimoy as a juvenile delinquent anyone.

Bit of obvious foreshadowing here. Only thing less subtle would be a clown with a pig’s bladder on a stick bonking the audience on the nose and shouting “Crivens! He’\ll regret that anon by my troth!”.
