I bet the South Africans are thinking/saying, “darn tourists!”

@templo SUD
All major cities in the US say the same thing from tourist of non US origin to tourist of US origin who bring their driving laws from other states into new regions. For those outside the US, each State has it’s own way to regulate driving laws, under a “general” guidance of the US transportation oversight. So what flies in one State may or may not work in another.

I spent only a couple of weeks in the U.K. a few years back. Adapting to drive on the left wasn’t that difficult. Had to concentrate for about 2 days and then it was easy. Getting used to looking right to cross a street was another story.

Jan; In South Africa, the most popular strip for the past many years is MADAM AND EVE. It would be marvelous if you could have Evie bump into them during her sojourn there. And your drawing style is not dissimilar to that of M&E.Go for it.

A GI did a 2 year tour in Germany when he returned home he picked up his new car (ordered abroad so duty free) as he drove out of the port, another car hit him, furious, he jumped out & started shouting at the other driver “2 years I drove around Germany, not a scratch, the minute I get home & this happens” the other guy said “bitte?” !!!

One day traveling to LA on the Interstate, we were forced off the road…with an almost non- existent shoulder…by an 18-wheeler. I dare say not all 18-wheelers know how to drive and share the road safely. Scary. ;)
