I would love to see what she actually did with the Ken doll… I know she’s blowing it up, but how… :)

Ah, happy memories! Our sisters had the dolls – and we brothers blew them up. In fairness, it was only the ones they didn’t want anymore. We blew up model airplanes, too.

She collects the remains (if there are any) of the Ken doll? That’s different.

Explosion? Like if, let’s say, Victoria asked (told) Danae to call her Mom? Just supposing. Willey, stock up on red ink.

I blew up models too. I’d buy fireworks early and pack them and match heads into every nook and cranny while building a model car or plane. A little lighter fluid poured over the model, ignite and let the fun begin. And I remember my cousins blowing up and melting their green army men and GI Joes. If I hadn’t been so destructive with all my toys I’d be able to sell them today and retire.

Did you hear about the new Divorced Barbie? Comes with all of Ken’s stuff.

My daughter used to get upset with her brothers because they would strap her Ken doll to their RC cars and run him into walls…

Thanks, Ed, but I guess this something I’m going to need to keep explaining because that banner is a little bit misleading. The 10 years it refers to are the years Non Sequitur has been with Universal Uclick. The strip celebrate 18 years of syndication on Feb. 16th, as the first 8 years was with another syndicate.

I hope we get to see some of Kate’s adventures sometime…of course, she’s a good girl, so maybe it would just be boring.. Aw, who am I kidding, Wiley can make anything funny….

You can have Kate and Victoria, Danae is much more fun.

And happy 18th Wiley. Guess you’re legal now!

I’ll add my congrats on your longevity, although with some trepidation for what becomes of favorites. NS is in my top drawer, along with Pogo, Calvin and Hobbes, Far Side, Shoe and Tumbleweeds (and that Wilson guy who was way ahead of his time). Too many of those have marched over the hill. May the creative juices and the ink supply keep you happy and drawing!

Ditto. I love this strip. Also, I know Cap’n Eddies southern alter ego. He has been there and done that.

Ok, you have me stumped with this. I don’t know who you’re referring to here.

Regardless, thank you for the kind words! REAL men die at their drawing boards, not retire! :-)

Wiley, My best guess at Wilson, considering the poster’s other favorites, would be Gahan. He’s pretty great and pretty twisted too.

Ah, ok. That never occurred to me as Gahan Wilson is a magazine cartoonist and all the others mentioned were comic strip cartoonists.

HUH?! What the heck did Danae do with the Ken dolls for?

Are you out of your mind? I thought all the boys love to play the GI Joe dolls in the wars and so forth.

I had one old male doll I could not remember it’s name. It’s body wobbled helplessly so I took the head with hair off from the body and put on another body that looked much better. The reason was why it’s body became wobbling because the rubber inside it’s body was almost worn out. I did with Barbie dolls. I took each heads with hair off from the bodies and put on another bodies and I like them much better. :-)

It sounds like we have a lot of grown-up Sids, from Toy Story, here. How are the relationships with sisters these days?

Non Sequitur is my favorite comic strip. I love it. I look forward to reading it everyday. Congratulations on 10 or is it 18 years? I hope you continue to publish this strip for a long, long time!

Is it just me or does Victoria suddenly look much older than when we were first introduced to the idea of her with Joe?? Is she that much older than Brenda (who I remember looking a lot younger)… I hope Wiley can shed some light here.

And if you are reading this, Wiley, I have been following you as long as you have been syndicated and it is now (since the demise of C&H) the ONLY comic I read, and read absolutely “religiously”. Love when you throw in the odd rowing-related strip too. GREAT work.

Non Sequitur is simply the best strip being drawn today. My man Capt’n Eddie makes it all worth while. All the best to you Wiley.

Congrats too on surviving 18 years in the tough comix industry! Love NonSeq – especially Danae & Lucy.

And I’ve also heard “old truckers never die, they just get a new Peterbilt” – wanted that one for my Dad who was a trucker, but I could never find it before he left this world. Not sure he would really have appreciated it tho.
