Sunshine and laughter, that’s our Alice! Of course, she kinda looks like a Svengoolie wannabe….

Big black crayon or a Sharpie?

I love how mom wants dad to get in on the fun.

Most little girls bring sunlight and laughter. Some little girls (not naming names) are pretty scary.

she is SO cute!

She reminds me of Marcus, because of the thick eyebrows and the circles kind of look like eye glasses.

I believe most kids today would agree with Alice’s assessment of clowns. I sometimes wonder if this is a more recent phenomenon, and at some point in the recent past, clowns were generally considered less fear-provoking? Personally, I’ve always been somewhat of a coulrophobe.

I saw a clown for the first time 70 years ago and was terrified. So were my first-grade classmates. It’s not a new fear.

Love Madeline’s response — instead of “March to the sink right this minute, young lady” it was permission to leave it alone until Alice can show off for Dad (eye roll notwithstanding). Great parenting.

My seven-year-old “Alice” granddaughter wants to comment:Aww! Let her keep it on for the rest of her life! It makes her cuter.

It makes her look like a raccoon.
