Or maybe a Jerry Springer special would be more appropriate..Poor used and abused, beleaguered and unappreciated Clintons. Will an accumulated nearly $100 million for speaking engagements ever make up for the shame and embarrassment? The least they have done is buy one of Lewinsky’s purses..I think the whole situation was a sickening travesty for all involved, but how could Republicans possibly resist taking advantage? To paraphrase what Danziger occasionally says in an editorial cartoon, Sometimes you wake up and find they’ve done the job for you..How would the U.S. and the world be different today if Bill Clinton had restrained himself? Or even paid to have the blue dress dry-cleaned?
Or, like 80+% of the world, including many Roman Catholics, we could have ignored the Lewinski bit as a non-story in the first place, and recognize that a mistress, instead of divorce, is accepted by most of the world.
