I can’t imagine any church able to pay their staff more than they do already. One dollar from each person in the congregation doesn’t add up to much. Sorry, Phil, but that shouldn’t stop your plans. Certainly two can live together for less than two in separate households, so pool your earnings together, and purchase the book “The Tightwad Gazette”. Then read it and believe in it (except for the part of wearing shoes that are pre-owned).
The Bishop probably gave himself a big pay raise and a bonus and will say he saved the church money by not giving Phil a pay raise. He won’t say anything about what he gave to himself.
If I waited until I thought I could afford it I would have never got married,bought a house or had a child but here I sit soon to be married for 33 years…my home will be paid for this year(we rented for 10 years) and my daughter had us our first grandchild last month.
