While those of us in the most hated by the ultra conservatives state of California, pay $1.00 in federal taxes, and get back only some $0.78 in federal benefits. So, just who are the real federal governmental takers and just who are the real federal governmental makers??
God rest his soul…an Iowa farmer I knew rallied behind the Tea Party because of “welfare rip-offs.” He was getting a bundle to “not grow” corn AND collecting his monthly Social Security check. Unfortunately, his final MEDICARE benefits gained no extended time on earth to “bitch” about “welfare rip-offs.”
I too paid into Social Security and Medicare all my working life. I did an analysis once on what I and my employer paid into social security. It showed that assuming what I paid in earned even minimal interest, I would never receive enough money back to break even. In fact, I probably paid enough for a couple of other recipients. The reason there is a problem is because the government “borrowed” the money and now rather not pay it back. That was not a “liberal” problem, it was mismanagement by both parties.

Bundy ain’t the only corporate freeloader, ripping us off for a lot more than any “social services”.

Perfect! The same idiots that don’t recognize the federal government wave American flags and quote the Constitution.
