LibyaIf you favor capital punishment for some reason, you might want to ask yourself about the company we keep.
A rope is quick and sure, but life in solitary confinement, without possibility of parole, ever, is a gift that keeps on giving. (And if it turns out the conviction was wrong, they ain’t dead.)
original thought… the founders of this nation supported a biblical order.. "he who takes the life of an innocent man shall have his life taken.. ".. cruel and unusual punishment meant such things as the “stocks”, the Iron maiden, etc.. Yet, our society would rather pay taxes to keep the murderers alive and paying to keep animals alive while killing off how many millions of children.. .. no, they are not fetuses.. they are children.. Historically, once a nation begins to de-humanize a person it makes it easier to eliminate them… as per the Nazi and Communist’s under Stalin.

All my adult life I have wrestled with the thought of capital punishment: Justice or cruelty?
Still, I feel no pity for this one. He showed nothing but hate and barbarism to his victim.
