Did you know that you are being profiled? I am quite serious. This information correct or not is passed to others and used. Attributes statistical assumed are taken as accurate. You jest but in reality that fellow could be you misrepresented. Identity misrepresentation may become as devastating as identity theft. Would you want to go into a job interview or loan application with the interviewer having an incorrect profile.

I agree with Orion – there is no virtue within the Black Panthers. It is a hate group exceeded only by the radical Islamists. The Klan trope is essential to modern leftists – to justify their apologies for the true America haters – even thought there probably aren’t 15-20 Klansmen still around.

Originally, the Klan was formed to get back at the unjust Yankees during the reconstruction period. The backlash against blacks came after the Yankees were using blacks to be senators and congressmen rubber stamping anything they wanted. There were blacks the rode with whites against the Yankees, the Yankees did not do the black man any favors – even Lincoln thought they should all go to Africa, even though many had been in this country for generations.

Anti slavery in the north was a backlash against the south, most was not done because they thought slaves should be free.

route66paul: Sounds like the history books written by the Texas Board of Education that I ran against in 2010. (No, don’t look it up, I was the Green Party candidate and so never mentioned in print. In fact, the Dalla snooze specifically said only Republicans and Libertarians were running – and repeated it verbatim when I requested a correction. Democrats were satisfied with the status quo.)

@ Varnes and NightShade: I see Orion pointing out that racism is a two-way street, an equal opportunity oppressor, which a far cry from condoning it much less advocating it. The current fear of recognizing when an oppressed becomes an oppressor — whether it’s religion, color, politics — is in itself an insidious form of oppression. It’s a sickness and we are rife with it these days.

Can we PLEASE stop using race as anything other than an identifying characteristic like gender, hair color, eye color, height and weight?

C’mon liberals, how about we start judging people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin? Hate groups suck, no matter if they’re KKK, Black Panthers, SPLC, La Raza, etc.
