AudreyHepburn’s birthday was the subject of Google’s Doodle a couple of days ago…..

A forever icon….though strangely, most women I’ve known want to look like her…not that we had a chance…But many of the men said they found her unattractive…I could never understand that.I thought she was so beautiful.

Ess… absolutely.

As a (straight) woman, of course, I see female beauty in a non-sexual way…yet I can still sense female allure…albeit not always in perfect agreement with those who feel its pull.

I never thought Sophia Loren was beautiful, in the conventional way…but I could sense her magnetism.

OTOH some women (and men) can be beautiful….but seem to lack that earthy appeal.

In a way it’s the same as when I look at those supposedly sexy 30-yr-old muscle guys people post here…I’m at an age where their magnetism has lost its pull for me.

I can only imagine men past a certain age as appealing or possible…but that doesn’t seem to happen to men.

You guys post all those young chicks as though they’re still possibilities.LOL

As for Graham…even for a 2D toon….I’d say his appeal falls flat.

Actually, I remember resurrected footage of her being used a few years ago, in a commercial for black pants….the Gap, I believe…. (a sporty clothing store chain) maybe I can find it.

It was the real Audrey, but jumping into a CGI background, and set to different music….

Bev, what I found best over at Speechless was your clip of the three pigs. I emailed to my boyfriend with a suggestion that we should do some of those for SCA.

I agree with Susan’s assessment of the 30-somethings posted as sexy here.

Over at the dating site where I met the new guy (back in November) there were many contacting me who were under the age of my sons (and some in their 20s- the age of oldest grandkids). Since all the photos I posted were un-retouched, I first chided them for looking so far from their own age and finally deleted and ignored them. I said on the site that I was not interested under 60, but actually only chatted on the site with those who were over 70. Boyfriend is just 70.

I find his whole body attractive (and he seems to like mine) but what first attracted me (after photos long story ) was his interest in repairing his bike himself – plus all that I later learned of his interest in all my favorite hobbies (lapidary, silver-smithing, dancing, cooking, sewing AND theater arts and choir too. That, plus his being a good man who visits his mother at least once a week (playing cards with her and an aunt who has a condo in same building). I found exacting what I wanted.

I can’t say I was a big fan of Audrey Hepburn, though I did like her in Roman Holiday. When it comes o looks, I’m more partial to Jean Arthur and Ginger Rogers. An then there was also Grace. Kelly.

Just found out our Sq. Dance caller’s son has graduation next Tuesday, and they moved the lesson to Wednesday, but my partner has choir practice on Wednesdays (so I’ll have other partners that one time – no problem). At least we’ll have both of those Saturdays all day (and Sunday before his church). Practice went very well tonight and I love a kiss goodnight.

I’ll still keep the 2nd appointment with my chiro tomorrow so I can be totally fine.
