Later in the day yesterday, I pointed to 68 (42 at one location) of the 150 strips by other artists, that were published on the weekend of May 27-28, 2000, to pay tribute to Sparky, on the occasion of his being awarded the Golden Caniff (Lifetime Achievement Award, the only one, so far, to get a Lifetime Achievement and a Rueben), posthumously (though the award is listed as 1999), at the annual Reuben Awards that year.If you can point to any of the 82 I couldn’t find, please do.Just letting you know in case you missed it and are interested in that sort of thing.

I actually like the use of colors in today’s strip. They really pop.

Snoopy is doing the George Washington……..going across on the bow crossing the delaware river..

This makes me want to watch my copy of “Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown!”

Snoopy will have trouble holding a paddle with no doggie thumbs. But, it’s never stopped him before!

It will never work. Snoopy is Signal Corps, Army (the great grand-daddy of the Air Force). Charlie is wearing a sailor’s hat. Interservice rivalry.

Go on, Snoop. Be a sport. You don’t want to see Charlie Brown humiliated again, do you?
