We have one of those in our family room…sits there gathering dust…I’d rather be out walking my dog (provided it isn’t pouring out!) than “walking” on that thing! ;)

As a donation shed attendant for The Salvation Army (yes, a Latter-day Saint/Mormon working for another religious group, but it helps pay my bills and put food in my belly), I’m always surprised by donors giving me things they say they never used even once.

The primary purpose of the various exercise machines I’ve had over the years was as a place to hang clothes.

I have or had few exercise machines. A few broke within 3 months as I used for long durations. Outside is the best for walking but when weather is too cold outside not for me.

Since my stroke, I use my treadmill for 20 minutes a day. Before the stroke, just kept walking past it every day. Too darn hot in the desert to go for walks during the summer and the hill I’m on is not conducive for walking anyway.

Sounds like Wally and Joan got the message even before they got the message. As for Val, I know that excuse very well, and not only with respect to exercise machines.
