Smart preschoolers to know their cheeses. (I call Venezuelan beaver cheese.)

Six-year-old Daniel tells me his favorite cheese is “Gramma Cheese”. In other words, American singles (the kind his grandma buys to make sandwiches for the kids).

Sweet Daughter-Daddy interaction; love the way Alice plays with Peter’s tie while he talks. Cheeses need experience. I’m kinda stuck at Münster myself….

We played “cigarette tag”. You’d holler out the name of a brand of cigarettes. This was back when they were advertised on TV.

There are only 2 cheeses I care about. Vermont extra sharp cheddar and pepper jack. All the rest, I’m less than indifferent about.

One of the homeless-type guys I cook for on Fridays requested macaroni and cheese a long time ago. Maybe I’ll try Dani’s suggestion (the 1/3 pepper jack, not the Mango Fire). Incidentally, for the first entrée I ever made for them, I baked a large pan of mac n’ cheese. Had stupidly followed some cockamamie recipe telling me to bake it at 450° for 45 min. or something like that. It came out looking exactly like chocolate brownies. It tasted like overdone grilled-cheese toast. I figured it was better than nothing, so took it anyway.

I love the way the kids run around, and Peter’s facial expression, and Kevin yelling “Gruyère”. What a great comic strip this one is.
