Can’t fault RJ here… you try not standing on that moat there while batting.

There actually IS a 30-second clock used at the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita. It’s right next to the scoreboard and starts counting down when the catcher makes his return throw to the pitcher. I called some games from the NBC on radio a few years ago and don’t remember any 30-second violations (which I think results in the batter getting a ball added to the count). Then again, I recall the clock didn’t always start right away either.

baseball is stupid. many teams can’t make the post season by june (like the cubs). it waste so much time. it is worse than golf. the players are on drugs. the fans are drunks. plus, the business of baseball is blackmail and taxpayers paying for the stadium that the team will leave in year 4 of the 30 year bond.

Baseball should stop after high school. It should strictly be a “locals for locals” sport. Once you don’t know the players, it holds zero interest to 98% of the population. And the 2% seem mostly lazy and drunk. Totally a worthless “sport”.

wow, an entire gaggle of Baseball haters. You know there is a remote, you don’t have to watch, and me and Vern will enjoy the sport that has been around for over 100 years.

With only 7 innings, you could have a 5th inning stretch!

Never mind baseball…how ’bout they speed up basketball. You could just give both sides a hundred points and lettem play for 3 minutes.

They introduced the 30 second rule and it seems to work, after initial complaints.
