The O Administration tried to cover-up and hide her actions until the end. Then, as usual, they say they had “no knowledge” of her activities and wash their hands.

The party of hindrance will continue to do what they know best – hold investigations and impede.

@Gypsy8 – I’m assuming you are referring to the Republicans but I have to ask – Would you just have them ignore illegal activity? Is it so important that Obama get his way that we just throw out the rule of law?

Look people – Our tax code today is an abomination. Filled with gimmees and dodges for every group that can carve into it.

We wouldn’t care a whit if the Tax code were converted to a simple flat tax or better yet a sales tax.

But there have been plenty of congresses that wanted to stick it to the productive and so they created a tax system that requires every one of us to open up our lives to their scrutiny every year. I, for one, find that system Offensive.

Nobody should be surprised then when the IRS is used for political hacking. And nobody should be surprised that some; who didn’t fare favorably with the IRS; would be angry that others got better treatment.

I don’t give a **** about Lois Lerner. I’m sure this crap has been done by most administrations going back beyond Nixon. But I am for changing the tax code so that the IRS doesn’t get to delve into the private lives of citizens every year.

But if we can expose her and the procedures that were used by Obama and his cronies we can, perhaps, create the impetus to finally throw out the current tax code and go to something simple and eminently more fair.

TTM, I’ll fill you in on a secret: Fox News is right on this one. I’ve watched the CSPAN clips (direct feed from the House Ways and Means Committee) and there is more and more coming out that shows that the following assertions are true: - The IRS Targeted only conservative groups for extra scrutinization, and some are still pending an answer 3 years later- The IRS did so at the direction from upper-echelon personnel, including Lerner.- Lerner did receive and send legally-protected data with her personal email address- Lerner did have regular contact with personnel inside at least one liberal group, and guided the IRS to take action based on at least one of their requests (which effect was to suppress conservative groups)- Lerner provided 17 separate factual assertions prior to invoking her 5th Amendment, meaning that she has waived her 5th Amendment rights. - Due to that waiver, she is now in contempt for not answering questions for which she should be answering. So instead of instantly discrediting the source, and trying to make this a “rich and powerful payback” argument, why don’t you for once in your life accept that one of Obama’s appointed officials (actually, two including Holder) is trying to suppress conservatives, and is actively defying the rule of law? They are corrupt. If this were a conservative administration doing the exact same thing, you would not only be howling for her to be thrown in jail, but you’d be calling for the impeachment of the sitting president. If you want to maintain any credibility here, you need to be honest with yourself and start accepting facts, instead of the manure the MSM is feeding you.

You couldn’t fit the number of people who have contempt for this congress in Texas stadium. If you allowed international contempt, you couldn’t fit them all in the country. And, the amazing thing is, given the chance, a lot of them would come here anyway.

The Republicans in congress are doing their job. Their intention is to keep everything just as it is, unless they can manage to return to the “good old days” of the 19th century, before there was a middle class and when only the landed gentry were voters. And, they have a great strategy for accomplishing this. 1. Disenfranchise everyone you possibly can, unless they are dependable Republican voters.2. Produce ads and media emphasis which emphasizes those politicians who are corrupt and incompetent. Paint all Democrats with the same slime. Lacking sufficient actual slime, simply make some up. This undermines the people’s trust in their government and makes them feel like helpless pawns, so they tune out the whole process and accept the status quo. 3. Support the “job creators”, who are the recipients of a huge portion of the GNP, although that GNP was produced by working people, who are receiving less benefit from it every day. This gives them the money to accomplish the other two goals, and leaves everyone except the “job creators” with increasingly less money to mount a counter campaign. So, this is the way we are going lose the middle class and become a country inhabited only by the very rich 1%, and a 99% who are too busy working two jobs to survive to notice.

Read above Gypsy. You are stupid wrong on this one. Abuse of process is a crime. And you show yourself to be a political hack when you paint conservative groups as criminal and progressive groups as saintly. When the house gets to the bottom of this we will see the abuse. I wonder how you would feel if it was progressive groups being targeted?

Some people seem to get away with more than others do. A number of our friends have been banished, for no good reason that I could see.

Adrian, I would agree. No PAC should have tax-free status. But instead of having it just denied, they intimidated via audit and other witch-hunting that suppressed other activity. So while you and I agree that these PACs shouldn’t get tax-free status, the treatment shouldn’t be one-sided. If you allow it, allow it. If you don’t, don’t. But don’t intimidate one side while you let the other off scott-free. That smacks of political tampering.@ TTM: I would agree. Issa didn’t do anyone any favors. And now with him being linked to Lerner’s office via email… it only discredits his arguments even further. It’s a shame, really. I honestly only care about one thing: The truth. (Yes, I can handle it!) If there was unfair treatment, and it’s proven that there was an attempt to suppress the conservative vote, that’s called Election Tampering and one of the most horrific crimes any group can commit.
