I’m a working class schlub and my doctor always sees me within 30 minutes.

Some people you are well advised never to anger. Your Doctor, Lawyer and the wait staff share the top of that list.

Is this any way to treat the 1%? Honestly, who do these fat-cat doctors think they are? Democrats?

When the doctor is running late, I know that if I’m due for some bad news, the doctor will take the time to talk me through it.Mr. 1% can buy a boutique doctor, who will put up with his boorishness.

Since my ophthalmologist schedules so far in advance, I always get an early morning appointment so they won’t keep me dilating for two hours..

You have just demonstrated you don’t know how the Affordable Healthcare Act works. Why would you think it has any relevance to a person of Mr. Andrews’ standing and means?

Generally, the doctor runs late because a patient early in the day was a few minutes late, and between that and unexpectedly long consultations, the start time for the next patient just keeps getting longer and longer.

It doesn’t matter how rich the guy is. He has a point.

I agree with this msg. Why is the doctor so inconsiderate and wastes my time? His is more valuable? Not to me its not.

When I am endlessly sitting alone in the exam room I always assume that the Doctor is reviewing my chart checking labs etc.

Wasn’t this an episode of Seinfeld, where George tried the same thing (only in his case, it also involved George being charged for an appointment he couldn’t keep)?

When my son was about 4 or 5 I took him to the pediatrician and was kept waiting for over an hour. If you’ve ever tried to keep a young energetic child occupied for that period of time, you’ll know that it feels like much more. When the doctor finally came into the examining room, we were busily occupied playing table hockey on the exam table with a quarter and two tongue depressors. I told the doctor, sorry, we’re in the middle of a game can you please come back in ten minutes. He did and to the best of my memory after 25 years, I found a new doctor after that visit.

I have health insurance now, which I could not previously get as a self-employed person with a “pre-existing condition.” I pay my premiums. I still go to my same doctors. So I say F*** YOU to all you hateful people who want to take that away from me and the thousands of other honest hardworking people who need it. You’d rather we suffer, for the crime of potentially not being profitable enough for insurance company bureaucrats and shareholders, than for you to think ONE person who doesn’t “deserve” health care might get it.

Of course, FOX news surely found that one person and put them on every show they’ve got. Gotta love their logic for deservingness… Wall Street bankers? Just a “few bad apples,” no need for regulation, just keep on supporting their business practices with our tax dollars. We’re happy to make interest payments on our small loans so they never have to pay a dime of interest on their massive ones from the Fed.Oh, but here’s TWO people we found who are cheating to get food stamps — obviously the whole food stamp program must be discontinued!!

Seriously, LameRandomName, rpmurray: You explain to me why I shouldn’t have an option for health insurance. How the “free-market,” which NEVER provided ANY such option for me previously, was so great. Why decisions made by “government bureaucrats” are so much worse than those made by insurance company bureaucrats who are motivated by PROFIT. I pay taxes, I now pay premiums, I’m a citizen of a wealthy first-world nation with that supposedly has at least a tiny moral conscience…. I wish I could stand in front of you in person so you’d have to look me in the eye while you answer me: WHY DON’T I DESERVE HEALTH INSURANCE?

There is no teason to curse the receptionist or anyone else. Most unbecoming.We did, however, explain to our pediatrician we wanted our children’s records sent to our new doctor because her receptionist kept diagnosing their illnesses over the phone rather than let us make an appointment.FEEDBACK

@DHGIt isn’t slavery. She is paying for her health insurance. The government has the right to regulate commerce, which includes giving patients coverage for pre-existing conditions from the insurance they purchase or receive as a part of their employment benefits.

If you belong to a big union, you don’t have to worry about the ACA. And, as a bonus, you’re leaders in the union get to stay super-rich.

Some people don’t realize that doctors tend to have deal with emergencies which come up and they can’t be scheduled. Yet, if they have a problem, the doc must be there for them.

My time is valuable and I hate waiting for a doctor; I know of one in this area that is so overbooked I’ve had to wait over 3 hours. And that wasn’t a one time happening. I can understand emergencies but not everyday occurrences.

@DHGBy your definition, all modern society is slavery. Public schools represent slavery because my taxes are paying for the education of other people’s children.I have no problem with the government paying for her insurance because if she was to get sick without insurance, guess who would pay?
