I was with my dad driving out of an unlit parking lot on a dark, drizzly night when a man stepped in front of the car wearing dark clothes. The only indication we had of his presence was the glow from his cigaret/cigar. Otherwise that pedestrian would’ve been struck by our car. It’s not healthy to smoke and it’s foolish to step into traffic in such conditions assuming that one will be seen.
