Nope. The supremes have always upheld laws to license guns, restrict assault weapons, and otherwise make gun ownership more safe for the public. “Second amendment rights” for anyone, no matter how dangerous or crazy, to own any weapon, no matter how destructive, are just right-wing fantasies not based in constitutional law.
The crazy thing is that both Reagan’s and Bush’s Surgeon Generals said the exact same thing as Obama’s appointee, and conservatives at that time accepted it as true (which it is). Conservatism is no longer a rational movement, and is now a knee-jerk reactive movement violently against any sensible ideas.
To my knowledge the surgeon general’s health (or any appointee) has not been affected by the NRA in any way shape or form, what this cartoon implies is at best irresponsible..@Jase99: “purchase weapons whose sole purpose it to kill other humans.”Then by your logic cars should be outlawed since they are designed to kill humans too. Cars can travel at speeds where they cannot keep their occupants safe should a collision occur. I personally have many friends killed via automobiles and non by guns.
Your name would be true if you limited your comments to legitimate debate. You don’t. Most of your comments are limited to cheap shots and partisan snark.

Why are automatic weapons illegal? Isn’t that a violation of the right to bear arms?
